How did the tournament go on Lanier?

Anybody have some results?

It was a very tough day. 80 degrees was the high on fri, high of 59ish on sat of the tx. It shut the bite down for most.
We lost one mid day that would have probably sling shotted us into second and challenged for 1st but hey thats fishing right…ha…that was our first big fish we have lost during a big tx in 3 yrs. I like that ratio…ha

1st place couldnt have gone to a better, more humble guy. He had never even fished a real big time money tx ever. Talk about having the shakes…ha…he was very nervous at the ramp. but David is a great guy.

It was also nice to see a good mix through the top 6. 1st/4th locals 2nd/6th from hartwell 3rd NC 5th Murray. Kinda dismisses the idea that this was supposed to be a “battle of the lanier guides tx”. And everyone has a chance of winning some money in these tx’s.

I posted this on the striperboard so i just copied and pasted it from there. We had 6 boats from Murray i think, which was nice to see would def like to see more though.

31 boats total. Great turn out and another great tx put on by Mark Crawford

1st David Hunnicutt 40.85# $9000

2nd JR Rodriguez 33.13# $2500

3rd Mike Green 26.75# $1700

4th Shane Foster 26.42# $1300

5th Chip Bragg 26.13# $800

6th Patrick Miller 19.00# rod/reel combo valued at 220$

Yall look for the next one. These are 100% payback tx’s minus the polygraph test and trophy costs.

Thanks for all you did to put this on mark.

If it wasn’t for that polygraph, I’d definately consider it.

I couldn’t handle those tournaments seeing how .5 pound means the difference between $800 and $1700.

Not to mention I would have to get divorced to put the kind of time in to be competitive.

Looks fun though. Congrats Chip!
