About how far do you have to go out for good bottom fish offshore. I have a Triton 1860 cc.

There is plenty of good bottom fishing within 12 miles. http://www.dnr.sc.gov/marine/pub/seascience/artreef.html will help you find some good reef’s to fish.

If possible, find a buddy boat to go with. Just good insurance.
