Apparently this “Rick” is the big bad owner of the company and anyone who questions his “Impeccable” customer service is just a waste of his time… I was rudely invited to “speak with my wallet”, so I will and I implore all of you to do the same and spread the word not to spend a penny with Reaction Strike, Castaic, Airrus, Trophy Technologies and Musky Innovations. Every time I asked him why he would blast off on someone like that he just keep spouting off about the cost of FedEx and the Losers at the USPS… In today’s world of word of mouth you’d think this guy would know how to talk to potential customers…
I’m appalled by that guys responses to you. I’m in sales and frequently have clients upset but you have to be nice, professional and never insult the client. Win them over and they will come back again.
What a complete moron. Sadly he will never “get it”.
This is par for the course for this guy. I am in the business and have heard many a horror story pertaining to this character. Please consider the source, and I would hope CF members will not patronize his business. I always have given customers a choice of type of shipping they desire. Each method has its postives and negatives. This ordeal you went through is Exibit A per how to conduct bad business.
What a dingus! I’ve been experimenting with pouring my own “chugger” lures at home to save money. So far they are turning out okay, not perfect yet. That way I dont’t have to deal with self important business owners. I will look out for and not purchase any of his products.
Clueless “business man”. Doesn’t he know that if you correct a problem to serve a client, they are even more loyal on average than clients that never experience a problem? He blew a perfect opportunity to gain a satisfied, and loyal, customer. “Dozens of orders a day” from NINE brands? Poor performance, and now we know why. Thanks for posting this.
Yes- this person has a lot to learn about modern customer service… with todays blogs and forums, its easy for word of mouth to spread like wildfire, and the bad reviews remain on search databases for ever…
As for shipping costs, I just ordered three things on line - a new bracket for my FF, a new bilge pump and a small sump pump for the house. All from large online companies- $10 min shipping from each place.
Simon, you did the right thing by cancelling your order. Rick’s replies were unprofessional and rude. If I may hijack your thread, I would like to dissect Rick’s comments about the USPS.
He berates you (wrongly) for criticizing his business yet he goes off on a tangent about the USPS, which clearly he knows nothing about. As my wife is a mail carrier, let me enlighten everyone as to why the USPS is going broke. The USPS has a mandate from Congress (no, really, quit laughing) to have their retirement and pension liabilities 80% funded within the next 10 years. Look it up or ask your carrier. NO other entity in America, public or private, has such a task in front of it. Further, if Rick knew anything about shipping, he would know that UPS and FedEx both use the USPS to deliver packages for them as they cannot handle the volume of packages they have.
Thanks for letting us know about the wonderful business and I am sure we all wish Rick and company all the success in the world.
Read it from the bottom to top, the bottom being the first email I sent to the individual. I hope no one from the site EVER uses this business because he was very unprofessional and rude. I hate that I even thought about ordering from him.
It is hard not to be adversarial to someone who is (a) not a customer, (b) complains about a very routine amount for shipping, and (c) sends me an unsolicted email complaining about something that is entirely within your control to eliminate.
I don’t know what you do for a living, but if I sent you an email with close to zero knowledge about how you do business suggesting improv
