Targeting reds with cut bait, crab, etc on the bottom. How much lead are you guys using to hold the bottom at the jetties?
Rule of thumb… Depending how rough it is 3 to 7 ft of road per foot of water.
Oh yeah and at least 10 foot of chain.
If the current is too fast or it’s too rough i will fish on the outside of the rocks. One side will be better. I have had a hard time holding bottom with 1 lb sash weight before!

A 6 oz egg sinker will get you down there in almost all conditions. Use a short ~12" leader and inline circle hook to prevent swallowed hooks. Please remember not to hang the bulls by their jaw on a boga and minimize time out of water. I say with a constructive tone just to remind everyone - I see too many doing a lot of harm and possibly killing these breeders. I really think ppl simply don’t know any different.
