How much wind is too much?

I am planning to go fishing in TX on Monday. A “norther” is blowing in Sunday night and the wind on Monday is predicted to be NNW at 15mph. I know that 15mph feels like 30mph on the water, and I know it will be a pain. Just wondering whether to go ahead and cancel. What is your limit on wind?

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

If I had a chance to fish in TX 15 mph winds would not slow me down at all. It would take 30 mph to keep me home, and I am not joking. Go!

It depends on who owns the boat? If he will take it out, I’m on it! LOL No really, if the Captain will risk his boat, go! It just might lay down. You know you can’t trust weather men and forecasts. Call and ask if he will take the boat out in 15MPH winds and is it worth going. I assume you already have your airline ticket or are you driving?
