for a 14 foot 1994 carolina skiff with a 25 hp 2000 2 stroke johnson motor?

my opinion of just about any boat… if it floats and runs, it’s worth at least $1k. that said, $1k might be high for that boat depending on condition.

If it helps I recently sold a garage kept 2000 J16 w/ a 2001 30HP Honda 4stk, bimini, sw trolling motor for 3800. Was in great shape. Couple of people low-balled me but the eventual buyer felt it was fair and was happy with the purchase. Just a reference for you.

I had a J14 with a 25 yammy tiller on it. I didnt really care for how it performed so you may want to test drive prior to buying. It was sluggish to plane off as you had to sit so far back with the tiller. Maybe this could have been adjusted better moving the motor up some but i was generally disapointed in that boat. If i had my druthers, i would look for an older 13’ boston whaler.

Seems like the hull by itself was 1200 new and it was a 1999 model if that helps any.

You didn't mention the trailer. If the trailer is rusty, you might be spending $600 for a new one right off the bat. Clean boat and motor with a trailer that isn't rusty... 1.6K to 1.8K would be money well spent. I base this on what you could sell it for (fairly easily) if you didn't like it once you bought it. Nothing wrong with that set up.

If it is conveniently located, I bet one of the guys on the board would look at it with you, if you asked.
