My wife insists on holding and reeling like that. She gets anything big she hands it to me. I’ve switched crank from left to right, makes no difference to her.
At least they are not sitting in the hotel watching T.V. Who ever took the picture sure got in close to their spot, or creepy with a good zoom. Should have done the right thing and taught them proper fishing technique, in a courteous manner. Guess it’s easier to poke fun at people.

We, I, take fishing for granted. I honestly believe that I was born with a rod in my hand (at least that’s what my dad used to say).
As funny as it is, it’s also kinda sad. I see an opportunity…

What does it matter where they were fishing? Nice try at what? All I’m saying is quit making fun of people and help them instead. If they refuse the help at least you tried!
Actually it makes it worse that they were at a landing and no one offered help, but choose to take pictures instead. Must have been one of those uppity landings.

You can’t tell they are posing and also look how well positioned the camera is, definitely not a sneak shot. Did that girl post the pic and respond on your account also?
I have to admit, like most people I smiled when I saw that picture.
That said…the good thing is the parents have the kids outside fishing, instead of them being locked in their rooms texting 22 hours per day.
The bad thing is the parents are clueless, which increases the likelihood the kids will get frustrated and quit.
Fritz, you’re a guy that I’d call if I was going to hire a guide…and to be honest, I’ve mentioned your name to out of town people coming in inquiring about getting a guide. Don’t know if it translated into business for you, but you never know.
One way to look at it is those 4 people are potential customers. Give them some quick 5 minute advice, mention your service, offer them 10% off on a quick trip to teach them basics, and you could possibly cultivate loyal customers for years to come.

Why bother to offer help? Do you know how many times I have had people tell me I “know what I’m doing” … Especially when loading or unloading boats at the ramp. I would’ve taken the picture too.
