I broke one,so I am going to install two new ones, they were old and brittle. My question is; do you seal around these things anywhere? The outer part twists on and you put in a set screw, but what about the seal that goes up against the transom? Do you seal around that? I think water was bubbling in on my old ones when the bilge got a lot of water in it. Maybe the ball weren’t floating up tight? So, I guess I am really asking, how do you install these things right so they work right? thanks.
