How to take inshore fishing advice...

Receiving any type of advice, especially advice on fishing, is like trying on clothes. You go into a store, try on clothes and buy what you want. You may buy some things, wait and consider some, and leave some things because you don’t like them. If you don’t like something, you don’t buy it. You also do not downgrade the clothing in that store to the sales staff. If you find something you like, you buy it, if thankfully you can afford it. Fishing advice is the same. Listen to it all, keep and use what you want, and be thankful for what was graciously shared.

 Just like mom used to say…“Get all the advice you can, then do as you dam well please”!!

What if the advice you are given is to fish here … 32.792981,-79.881357??

I’ll save you the trouble … it’s the Mt. Pleasant Seafood Market … would it then be fair to respond somewhat in kind???

Just sayin’ …

it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish now!!!

And remember, when learning about inshore fishing, that nothing, absolutely nothing, beats time on the water…

Very valid points, Growndawg. And I agree, Opt, time on the water with good notes as to what worked and what didn’t, makes the light bulb pop on and leads to the next steps in the adventure.

As far as bogus advice is concerned, if you’ve been to the restaurant a few times and have been treated exceedingly well but you choose to tip poorly and complain (or be perceived as such) you should expect a little pee in your drink. Never insult the cook while he’s still holding your food!

All the best to you and Girldawg this holiday weekend and all summer. Hope the toes stay sandy!
