Hull options

Good afternoon, just trying to weigh all my options and looking for suggestions. I have a ‘92 Parker 21’ cuddy cabin with a 2005 130hp honda 4stroke. There are no major issues with the hull, it’s been bone dry every time I’ve had it out. And the motor is still good. I would like to swap the hull for a shallower inshore center console preferably around the same length. Would this be feasible or should I just look for a newer hull and motor. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

Not sure you’d get much, if anything for just the hull. Selling it as a package, most people looking to buy it because it has a decent motor on it. Most of the used boats you’d want to replace it with are going to be boat and motor packages as well. You’d really limit your options if you’re going to be looking for just a boat with no motor.

Parkers are great boats, but there would be a very very small market looking for an older hull without a motor. Most people looking for this are the fixer upper project type of people and they would be purchasing your hull as a redo project and likely only pay pennies on the dollar eventhough it sounds like your hull is in good shape.

If you want another boat, I would sell the boat and motor and go out and buy something else.

Saw this on the Maverick site this morning and read your post tonight. Doubt they want to trade, but it may be close to what you are looking for.

I found my boat on this forum. Lots of good people on there too.

Thanks for the info, basically I was thinking it would be cheaper to buy a cc hull and have my motor put on it, just trying to find the cheapest route to a “new to me” boat.

Thanks again,

Dave

If you are a do it youselfer you might find a deal on an old CC at a boat junkyard and prep it to your specs. and sell the Parker on Craigs list, eastern N.C. Sold my Downeaster there with out any motors in 2 days, The guy took it to Washington State.

It will be cheaper and easier to sell your boat and motor and turn around and buy another. You can get a great older Mako or Seacraft center console for not a lot of $. Good luck.
