I hook them through the nail and let it sink to the bottom. This presentation is called “the Bird” technique. The fish see this as something rising up through the bottom and flipping them off. They get pissed and eat it. It’s very effective.

Ahhh…so “the bird” isnt the quick reflexive jerk I’ve been using all these years? No wonder it doesnt work on motorists who cut me off or political ads on TV! Thanks for the helpful tip:smiley:
