Alright alot of people have asked for pics of the M4 beadchain in the past and I finally got one worth postin’… so here it is…
I also have been working on a new pattern I like to call the Blumpkin… Its a killer on the lowtide… the reds just can’t help themselves… its a dirty bastard…
TB- Me and cam will be fishing the tailing tide so He’ll be throwin the Copperhead crab… the blumpkin is a lowtide specialist… you don’t wanna throw that hunk in the grass… you may not get it back outta there… lol
Good stuff. I bet that M4 looks awesome in the water.
Not only does it look good it is D-E-A-D-L-Y… I ave fished ity aroudn the world and it ain’t just for redfish I have caught 6 species on it. it is one of th eonly flies I know of that is as if not more versatile as a clouser…
My buddy told me a Blumpkin had something to do with the outdoor portolets at Clemson football games. I don’t really recall the exact definition. I guess that’s where the orange/black hackle comes into play on that fly.
Grape- not normally because I don’t throw it in the grass. Not that a tailer won’t eat it, but I just throw the copper crab when I’m up there… The M4 for me is a lowtide pattern, so no weedguard is needed…
