hunting is. lagoon

Gonna take my first trip of the year tomorrow, for the out going tide. How about it Troy?
Anyone had any luck recently in that area?

I used to tear up the trout there in my canoe. If you put in at the end of the lagoon and head towards Fripp there is an oyster bed underwater that won’t show until about halfway to low tide. If you paddle the left bank you may see it underwater. It’s maybe around 3/8 of a mile down on the left bank just out of the grass. I would fish it until the tide ran down and then turn around and face the lagoon and catch trout after trout on grubs w/ jighead or on shrimp under a float. Lots of fun. I’m in Charleston now, but may have to come down one day to fish the lagoon again.

I’ve even caught a few juvenile tarpon in there before. They were about 10lbs?? I couldn’t believe it when I caught the first one on a plug.

We went down today and only managed 1 flounder, missed 3. The rain and thunder kept pushing us out of the water:angry:

Hey Cut, do you ever go on the weekends?

Those who can’t fish, spend too much on seafood!
