Weather sucked, not so much the temperature, but the wind blowing straight down the lagoon Friday and Saturday. Got there Thurs. afternoon, unhooked the camper and went right for lagoon. Not a bad couple hrs netting 2 nice trout (17 &18"). Went back Fri. morning and did good despite the really rough wind, netting 3 spottails (biggest 23"), 3 keeper trout (biggest 18"). Only fished about 2hrs.
Saturday I fished (with hard-core fishermen) about 4hrs getting in wind almost as bad as Friday keeping 2 nice one (biggst 20").
everything caught on grubs, 1/2 trollin and 1/2 casting, almost no bait to be seen in the wind.
had a great time with ya’ll, hope to see you again next year. (in better weather)

cutmullet, after what 5151 and I saw on the flood tide where most of the trout were caught on Saturday, I’m going to stick with the lagoon. As far as a couple of sticks of wood, I think I can help.

Will have a nice big cup on the way down Sat morning too. Looking to leave Summerville around 4:30am , looks like low tide is around 6ish so fishing the incoming should be good. Would like to come down Friday night but still in negotations, but count me in for sure bright and early Sat am
Hopeing to get there around 10ish am tomorrow. Going straight to lagoon, after we try and get parking pass.

We will be at site 42 - two tents and burgandy Dodge / Light Green Ford PU. Me, my son, MinionsReel, and wife’s cousin planning on shrimping but, the women are going for the fish and crabs. Think they will be soul fishing at lagoon near the parking area Sat. If you see the boat there stop by for a beer or nip.

5151 looks like I need to get a new anchor, looking forward to see what happens on the flat that we were fishing on before we had to leave.

Hey ya’ll, How was the fishin’ ?
Beerbuzz and I did real well with 8-9 keepers each day (15-19.5inches), released about as many smaller ones. No spottails or flounder for us, and all caught on trusty chicken.
Mudroc had the biggest going 21inches and not sure what all Troy and Scot landed.
Weather was outstanding.
