Hunting the Farm

The last two weeks of the season and the BeagleFarm is alive with activity. My Daughter got her first and second deer out the way. One of our buddys whole family each got a deer. BeagleMan had a drove of 15 cross out by him at one time with a grand total of him seeing 25 on that one drive. It has been great getting together with family and friends. My oldest grandson accompanied me while we waited on the beagles to give it up and come out of the swamp. A good time was had by all.

I have a few pics i will try and post from my phone.

BeAGLE
I’VE MISSED YOU. HOW RE YOU DOING?
THIS HAS BEEN MY WORST YR HUNTING. SHOT 2 DINKY BUCKS TO PUT MEAT IN FREEZER, BUT NO CHANCE AT A TROPHY. THE FLOODS WIPED OJUT HALF MY FOOD PLOTS AND I COULD NOT EVEN GET TO MY BEST SPOTS AS ROADS WERE FLOODED.

Hunting, fishing, and poker are my sports. Work when necessary.

PS we too are under water. I can paddle a boat and catch fish where my corn pile usually sits. We have had to walk(swim) to some of my favorite spots. Most of the roads are creeks.
I have found it is easy to hear the deer approaching when they have to walk through water to get to the field. We had peanuts planted in the fields this year and 3/4 of them are still in the field rolled up on top of the ground. To wet to pick them up. Its a shame all the waste the high water has caused but the wildlife is enjoying the free meal.

No pictures!?? Good to here from you! My palm trees are still alive! My son-in-law had to drag one out of some chest deep water yesterday.

Sounds like you had one good end of the season hunt!

No doubt on the peanuts. I’ve seen quit a few fields that were too wet to get into.
