I just bought a 2000 J16 with a Honda 4 stroke on the back. It takes forever to plane out with two people in it! I am probably running at 22-25mph once planed out. I am going to try a new prop, but from what I have read it sounds like me and you may have waterlogged hulls!!
look at this and it should help get you in the right area

I saw that same skiff on craigslist I believe. I would have bought it if I didnt have mine lol. I drilled 5 holes in different locations and let it sit for a day and not one drop came out. I would be content with 20mph with 2 people but i’m only hitting 10mph with 2 people and 20 mph even with just myself. 20mph is plenty in my opinion, I wouldn’t really want to go much faster than that in a flat bottom skiff.

Thanks Chris. I’m going to compare my prop to the one listed.
