Has anyone ever had any success replacing seals in a seastar cylinder? Normally I usually dont have much success(or the patience) with seal kits on small cylinders like that.

Just replaced the seals on my HH5271 helm. While not overly difficult, I am still experiencing leaks and chatter so I am going the replacement route.
Check eBay. You can usually find what you need.

Replacement is easy and lately not too expensive. And it actually fixes the problem.

Pungo 120tried the seals, ended up replacing.
I replaced mine with the replacement cap and seal assembly. If you use the proper seal protector it will fix the problem.
