The 6 year old Hydro Turf I installed on the old jon boat has run its course. Going to replace the front deck (plywood) so eliminated 3/4 of removal, but the turf mounted to the aluminum had 3m backing and is hell getting up. Slow going the Johnny Cash method.
Any suggestions? Going back with marine vinyl, so everything covered will be recovered.
I used to be into old rotary engine cars, and owned a few old first gen RX7’s. They had about 100 pounds of sound deadening material rolled onto the body of the car under the carpet. It was nasty sticky stuff that was impossible to remove.
DRY ICE made it peel right up! It was a pain to work with, but it worked amazingly well.
Good luck.
EDIT: You can buy dry ice at Publix. It’s in a freezer by the front door.
