I could use some help.....

Hi everyone, I was referred to this site from someone bowsite.com. Anyway, I am from North Carolina and I drew an alligator tag in the midlands unit. I was told that was a good unit for big alligators and as it was relatively close to home so I chose it as first choice. I didn’t realize it at the time that I applied that anyone coming along just to help had to have a hunting license AND for the nonresident they also have to have a $200 alligator hunting permit - same as me, and I am the only one with the tag. So I was hoping that I could meet a resident that may want to go along, you could make a new friend along the way and help out on a new adventure that you may not get to do very often or maybe never at all. Even if you have no experience I really could use just an extra hand, I also have all my equipment so really all I need is a friendly fellow hunter that can help me out.

Also, I spoke with the biologist and he pointed me to a few spots but as I am able to come down as many times as necessary to get the job done, I don’t plan to pre-scout, so any advice as to where to go to get started would be greatly appreciated. Even if someone knows of a private waterway with a big gator I would be glad to take it.

Lastly, as I have to buy a nonresident hunting license for the alligator hunt, I hate to let them go to waste, so I hope to hunt some other things, like deer, hogs, and especially turkeys. I would most likely hunt public land but if I could find a club that I could afford within an hours drive of Gastonia NC, I would consider joining. So any advice or pointers for any of this would also be greatly appreciated.

I know I am new here and I know that nonresidents are sometimes shunned, but believe me I am respectful and I know how you feel, but I am just like every other hunter you know, I just love to hunt and be outside and enjoy hearing everone’s tales and making new hunting friends. So whether you can help me out or not, if you would like to contact me for information regarding information regardi

I will E-mail you some info.

Still could use some advice on the hunting and in particular anyone that may be interested in going along. Thanks again for any help, Todd.
