I can’t wait to get on the water in my Ride 135. I unpacked my new Air Pro seat last night and shot a few pictures, then spent the rest of the evening just sitting in it watching TV.
Here are my first impressions:
It makes a great camp chair. I know that wasn’t the original intent, but I can see myself kicked back resting in the seat on an oyster bar, a beach, or the side of a river, just relaxing after a paddle.
The seat back and bottom are a pretty thick piece of high density foam with a TON of air flow holes. I plopped into the seat and could feel some give from the foam conforming to my body shape.
The perforated back and mesh seat cover should make for a cool dry ride.
Getting it adjusted is easy. The curve of the seat back provides nice lower back support. A tug on the straps lets you cinch it tight against your back, or loosen for a semi recline in camp chair mode.
There’s also a little recessed well for temporary storage of small items.
There are a couple of other small wells behind the seat.
Now two of my favorite features:
First, adjusting the under thigh support couldn’t be much easier. Grab the handle and pull.
If you get it too high, there are a couple of release buttons / cam releases to take tension off the straps and lower the front of the seat a bit.
