I keep the big boat in a storage lot less than a mile from the house. I checked on the boat a few days ago went back today and someone decided they needed my prop and steering cylinder worse than I did. I had the police come out and do the police report as well as fingerprints and will contact the insurance company tomorrow.
No one knows if YOU are THE village IDIOT or not until YOU open your mouth and speak!!!
December had to deal with thieves at work, ended up catching 3 of them in the act but 1 decided to pull a gun. 2 got away but one spent Christmas in jail
January having to deal with thieves at home. I have drawn the line in the sand and ready for someone to cross it now.

I am right there with you Chuckā¦ā ā ā ā a man that would rather steal from someone than work for it himself. As much as I hate to think that a person would steal from a fellow boater, the world is full of azzholes. If you donāt mind saying, what lot was your boat stored at? I keep my boat down there a few months a year and never had any problems, just curious if it was where I keep my boat.
chuck, I feel your pain, I hate a thief.
let me know if we can help getting your stuff put back together.
what kind and size prop, we may have a used one around

I know the feeling. I had my prop stolen a few months ago at my boat storage facility in Park West. You do not mess with a manās boat. By the way, where do you store your boat?
I keep my boat at Carolina Boatyard when it is in Charleston. They have a good facility there, washdown area and surveillance cameras. Sorry about your loss.
Speaking of thieves, Someone had the nerve to cut out my cataylitic converter, and butchered my exhaust in the process, while my truck was parked at Remleyās overnight a few nights ago. I guess I should have konwn better than to leave it there, but I never thought something like that would get stolen. I guess itās a good thing I had a lock on my trailer. Some crack head is going to get a few dollars for what is going to cost me several hundred to replace. What can you do? Maybe if we started cuting off the hands of people who steal, these kinds of things wouldnāt happen as much. Just a thought.
Chuck,
Sorry for your loss. I had my boat and trailer stolen years ago from the Air Force Base, who would think that? I drive by your lot at Wescott often (Patriot Blvd?), that lot is unfenced and wide open to thieves. There is a very safe commercial storage area for RVs, etc. on Ladson Road next to the Oakbrook theater. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I cant stand a thief either! I live in the front of Wescott and drive by that yard everyday. Recently, due to changes in our HOA bilaws, I had to move my boat from the house. I keep it at Ashley Phosphate Storage across from Cathedral of Praise. It is $50 a month, fenced and has cameras. No washdown, but it is cheap, secure (so far) and right by the house. Just my 2 centsā¦
