OCEARCH
Mary Lee continues to move into the St. Helena Sound in South Carolina. The 3,500lb 16ft great white shark is just north of Hilton Head and south of the Edisto River.
Can anyone report back to us the environment in this area? What is the water depth? What other kind of fish are common this time of year? What is it like there?
OCEARCH
Mary Lee has moved back off shore.
This dolphin washed up on Hunting Island Beach yesterday. People are speculating that Mary Lee did this. Have any dolphin recovery people seen evidence of white shark teeth or fragments in this animal? Dr. Bob Hueter of Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium reached out to local colleagues to see if he can gather more information on the bite. Can any locals share more info with us?

For some reason everytime I fall while water skiing, my mind immediately goes to ‘Great White Shark coming to eat me.’ Same with alligators. Body of water makes no difference either…
