CaptFritz, dont let the secret out. People don’t think there is good fishing in the Stono inlet.

A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.

Nice one Captain. The big boys are back in town, and it’s about time. I guess I’ll pump up the tires on the boat trailer, and see what the boat looks like with the cover taken off. Probably a moldy mess after this extended winter. Time to order up some elbow grease.

Leave the boat covered up and book a trip with a local guide. With the possible needed repairs and all the other costs it may be cheaper in the long run. I have several local clients that prefer to hire me over having their own boat.

I tried to convince my dad to do that. He paid $30k for a boat that I put more hours on than he does. He might get out 6 times a year without me.
He’s in FL or I’d take him out more.

$30k gets a lot of charters.

nice catch cptn fritz… way to put them on the fish.

I was grounded on Saturday ((5/17) there in the inlet (opposite kiawah side) and walked 1/2 way across the inlet to what was left of the channel. Put a few rods in sand spikes and relaxed in the sun. Reeled in a whiting on one, cut the tail, and then live lined him. Sat there, then one other rod went off a ways down. Ran & got it and it was a little spinner shark. Saw the rod with the whiting go off and it was yanked over into the sand. Caught it before it dissappeared. Thought it was going to be another fun shark to kill time until the water came back in but instead saw what would’ve been my new biggest red. “POP”…" ‘D@MN’T!!!’ "… You’re red in the Stono Inlet just reminded me of that. Nice going Capt Fritz.

Some nice holes in that inlet that hold monster reds. The green can area.

100% truth. And you’re more likely to catch fish, and you don’t have to put up with numbskulls at the boat launch.
