I left Chuck Town in '08 only to regret it ever since.
Not really regret the move entirely … but I sure do miss the fishing!
Up here in Maryland, the fishing BLOWS!
Keep the lines wet folks

The Stripes aren’t biting lately, and the bait shop where I used to get my fiddlers for drum bait went out of business. Fidlers don’t run around wild here like they did in my backyard off the Ashley.
I’m just outside of Balt … it’s just hard to find a place to drop a line w/ out putting a boat in somewhere. Our neighborhood pier access has been dominated by a new ghetto neighbor that doesn’t seem to understand sharing the dock. And while I was sitting here at work I was just thinking about how much fun we had surf fishing from Sullivans Is. Just not the same here …

Oh, I’m just funnin’ with him. I get bummed out being 2 hours from saltwater and then someone comes along and reminds me it could be worse.

Is he by chance at Hawkings Point?
Nice water in that area there.

No , he is was about a 100 yards from the Redskins stadium parking lot. You literally had to go through it if you were going to a part of the town over that way. Lol he had a small back yard then a fence then a thin line of trees and then the stadium parking lot . On the other side of the neighborhood he lived in was the subway. Which was pretty neat hop on there next stop Smithsonian, I can never get enough of that place, to cool.

That is a nice area. Planned on taking the kids that way Saturday as a matter of fact. Haven’t been to the Smithsonian’s for almost a year now.

Maryland winters. Maryland gun laws. Maryland fishing. Still don’t regret the move?
I’m in Annapolis and rockfish bite has been good around bay bridge lately. The Honga has been good for trout since May
Displaced Sandlapper fishing the Chesapeake until I get back home.
I moved to Charelston from Maryland in 2005. I grew up with a boat on the Chesapeake. I miss fishing “back home”. The striper fishing there is great. And, offshore, it’s a quick trip to the ledge. The marlin fishing is world class.
If two wrongs don’t make a right, try three.
