I need a new GPS and I was wondering what brands and models you guys would recommend. I fish majority in shore and some near shore. I have been looking at the garmin line and I’m wondering if I should go top of the line? 4" or 5" models? I know there are differences in pixel ratios and are they worth the extra $200? Any answers you might have would be very helpful.
I am a fan of Garmin and I think all of there units are great. Be sure to get one that is preloaded with all the charts or figure in the cost of the Garmin chart with your purchase. All the units are incredible now and ease of use is #1 for me. Garmin is the easiest to use in my opinion. Get the biggest screen you can afford and fit on your boat.
I know that I can purchase the biggest and best GPS I can afford… I guess what I am asking is the extra money for 1" larger screen and slight better resolution really worth spending the extra $250-$400?
the 441 is a good unit, but its very small when trying to do a split screen
even though its only 1" bigger, the 541 is much easier to use on the split screen.
we sell alot more 541s than the 441s
