Looking to get the i-Pilot Link system and will be getting rid of the i-Pilot head and remote that came on my skiff. Off of a Riptide SP 55# trolling motor.

$300 is more reasonable.

The head w/ i-pilot guts and remote. Old head comes off and this one screws on. Is it the SP model?

Mine is the basic SC model so I don’t think it is the right setup.

doing some reasearch on the I pilot, I pilot Link, Co pilot, etc. Are any of you that are trolling planars using the Ipilot and I pilot Link? if so how do you like them?
Loon, Did you ever get the Link installed?

I’m running the Riptide ST Ipilot 100lb and it has been a dream pulling planers. Pulling planers can be a full time job especially for only one person. Not having to constantly man the tm is a huge plus for me. Not to mention using the Spotlock feature in deep water while dr’ing. No anchor and rope when you find the fish. Just hit a button and you’re good
Ive been arround and fished with trolling motors as long as i can remember but only once have i been on a boat with the IPilot feature. when I saw they guy use the “anchor” feature i was sold… not having to pull an anchor up out of 50ft of water everytime you want to go to a new spot sure was nice… I imagined that those who pull planars would enjoy the iPilot feature as you mentioned…
Do you have a foot control as well or just the remote?
Striper how big is your boat? a 100 is a beast…

I’ve only got the remote. I bought the boat with the 100 already on it. The guy said he’s ran his batteries dead on windy days too many times over the years and he was making dang certain it wouldn’t happen again lol. It’s a 19 foot Turdwater and I’m sure an 80lb would have done just fine but I sure ain’t gonna complain
