Mike O and I ran out to see if we could find any of those extinct Red Snappers. We did! After releasing #6, I stopped sending down a grouper rig. I find it ironic, that the day after we get notified of the “temporary”…yea right!..permanent closure, we cant seem to catch a small one. We released a few short Gags, and one keeper Gag (I’ll bet it is being cooked as I type). Had all the usual suspects, Pinks, grunts, triggers, BsB’s. Did not catch many B-liners…they got the memo about being over fished.

I don’t know Sells, for all we know, you are Photoshopping these fish into these pictures to prove a point! I mean, anyone can hold there hands out like they are holding a fish, and then put an ARS in the picture. LOL!!

Nice fishing. Seems like a lot more snapper being caught in the past few years as expected. Also, we didn’t get to dive as much as I would have liked to this year, but there seemed to be a strong presence of juveniles around the 18-20" range. I saw several schools with 50-75 fish each. Those fish will be legal next year and half of them are already spawning. Unfortunately, the SAFMC guys will claim all of the credit even though the recovery started some time ago. The tragic part of this is that it will just give them “confirmation” on something that they incorrectly believed only giving them more confidence making bad decisions down the road.

We have only met briefly so I don’t know why you would jump ugly on my boat or gear. The picture - taken by Paul - shows what we call “Pauls corner” on my boat (O-Baby). BTW, not all those fish are his - he just wants it to look like they are. I am confirming that the hot pink crate is mine…its got “stuff” critical to the days fishing.I’m really old and have all I can handle w/ Paul (he keeps bugging the hell out of me to take him fishing even though he knows getting up early plays hell w/ my regularity).
And another thing: I’m a dog lover -got two wheatens - and I don’t know how you can embarrass poor Roo by circulating pictures of him in such a lame-ass costume. And to think I was actually going to give you a pass on that.
