Ice Chest Ville

Brrrrr. I knew the cold would make the fish scarce and hard to catch. I knew the wind would make the fish hard to catch. I knew the tides were going to make the fish hard to catch.

They were.

4 hours in the newly named Ice chest ville. 31 degrees at launch with a stiff wind. (wind chill was 24 degrees) The current and the wind were just this side of extreme.

I needed to get out and paddle. I did. No need to be bothered with fish. Haaa! I’ll be back at them as soon as it warms a bit and the wind dies down.

Buurrr. I planned on doing a little fishing off the old bridge this morning and jumped right back in bed after seeing it was 35 degrees. Getting out on a yak this morning is just crazy. You must be cold blooded

All fishermen are liers except me and you and I’m not sure about you.

FishSlayer,
Believe it or not, I think I passed you today when you made the left out of the access road.

I saw the Malibu Stealth in the back of the pick up and thought, what a trooper. Used to fish

cold weather / windy conditions a lot, now…not so much.

Can you stand in that Malibu ? Looking to replace my old Hobie, and want something that is stable

enough to stand in.

That was me. No I am not cold blooded in fact spent most my life in SoCal. I am just an addict and needed some me time. lol. I would have to say that was the limit of comfort and safety.

The Malibu Stealth is very stable and standing is not an issue. Not a speed demon by any stretch, but comfort, storage and stability are hard to beat for the price. I believe Capt Dave is here on the board and is the local rep for Malibu.
