Anybody got any idea how long it will take?
Heading down to Savannah this weekend and trying to decide whether to take the ditch, run offshore, or just take the pick-up.
The forecast doesn’t look to good for offshore right now, so I’m considering the ditch.

I’d do the ICW anyway. The ICW north of Charleston is a ditch. South of Charleston, there is some beautiful scenery. Lunch in Beaufort? Drown a big crab in Chowan Creek for a few minutes to see if a tarpon will eat him?
Not long in that boat! From CHAS to hh is about 85 miles. Beaufort
to hh about 30. We stopped at daufuski and rented a golf cart. Pretty
cool once. Cruising your probably looking about 2 1/2 hrs. Long no wake at beaufort.
(3)Luthers is good. (2)Paninis has great pizza. Blackstones is a block off the water but would be my first choice. There are several places along the waterfront.
If you are going to stay overnight in Savanah I would take the intracoastal down to beaufort and tie up at the beaufort downtown marina. There are many resturaunts along the main street just behind the marina. Have lunch then run on down to Savanah. You can dock at the public warf right in front of River St. That place is a blast. They have performers and musicians like down at key West. Plenty of shops and resturaunts also. You can stay at the Hiatt Regency which is right on the water or there is a days in just about a block away across the street.
On the way back go into calabouge sound and find the entrance to harbor towne marina. You can’t miss it…the big lighthouse. Dock up there and have lunch then head back up to Edisto.
That trip is a ton of fun.
Thanks for the all the info guys.
We stopped in Beaufort and ate at Luther’s.
I had the French dip w/ fries and my gf had the burger w/ fries.
Food was delicious.
We thought about Blackstones, but with my bum leg, that was a little further than I wanted to walk.
Stayed at the Hyatt and had a great time until I lost an engine.
Steve at Towboat U.S. got ChrisV on the phone in minutes.
Chris and Steve thanks for everything!!
