So Ive passed by the ice entrance a couple times and said I need to fish that. I was talking with a buddy and he said theres tons of reds in there but they are smart, so the other day i went in and was trolling the grass line when I came up on a inlet with oyster beds in it, I missed a flounder and then while standing on my ice chest/ casting platform i saw the most glorious site ever, about 15 35 and above reds swimming back and forth over a oyster bar. My buddy didn’t know what was going on, i felt like a kid up there freaking out.Ive always heard of the fish schooling and tailing since i started fishing the salt but never saw it. My question is how do you catch those jokers, they ignored everything we threw at them, why so tough in the icw?

Because they get a lot of fishing pressure.
Guides have trained them well?

Ice entrance? Would you eleborate on this location in general? Thank you,
Pressure for sure, go find you some new water and enjoy the exploration. They are spooky to begin with and if they get stuck a few times they get really spooky. Been in bass fishing tourney’s where the roar of motors turns the fish off as you can slay them M-Th but come Sat they are locked down as they become conditioned. They are animals and they have to survive.

I think he’s referring to the ICW. If so, it runs from New Jersey to Brownsville, TX.
i was referring to the ICW also but even i didn’t know it ran that far. I learn something new everyday
