Got out to the ICW yesterday morning around 730. Temperature was cool at 66 degrees. Water was calm and only came across a couple boats. Fished till 4 pm. One cast with the cast net yielded 31 finger mullet so I was good on bait for the rest of the trip. Fished a mile stretch of grass banks on the falling and rising tide. Water temperature was 72.5 throughout the day. Landed 3 reds at 29, 26, and 23 inches. All were caught on finger mullet, one on a popping bobber and 2 on carolina rigs. Lost 2 other big ones. Also caught a small blue fish, rat red, and trout. Got some hits on artificials but didn’t land any.

Great day. Fished ICW near Ben Sawyer on Friday. Got a 28, 26 and 24"-menhaden under a cork. Back to same spot on Sun and got a 26 on mudder on a jig head. A very good weekend!
Thanks. Lint, I’ve been wanting to fish near the ben sawyer bridge but haven’t done so yet. I hear its a no wake zone so it should be good for a kayak and its not far from the station 26 launch. I would like to try for black drum and maybe sheeps over there. I wish I knew of some good sheep locations but I can’t seem to find them.
