ID please

Can someone confirm what these are. My 8yr son was setting his minnow trap and decided to throw his cast net and this is what he pulled out. These were caught in the drainage ditches in our neighborhood off the Stono on Johns Island . after snapping these pictures we released them.

Fish that drainage ditch with a pan fish fly rod setup, file the barbs and catch you a little tarpon on the fly.

latest in the year I can ever remember seeing the tropical juvies around here, I caught tarpon and occasional snook in the cast net right through the end of the year… but now the water temp is going to drop like 10-12 degrees real quick. sayonara, poons.
