Planned to fish early and head to the polls but the weather was not on my side. Hit the polls and decided to fish in the afternoon. In the river at 2 near the top of the flood tide; however, not expecting much action until the tide dropped. Grubs out, and fish on!
Interestingly, yesterday, while fishing, I noticed a gentlemen fishing off the dock. We spoke briefly, the usual, grub color, whether the trout were biting as I trolled by. The gentleman was not having much luck. What luck, I saw the same gentleman fishing off the dock today, and asked him what he was catching? He said, I had a few hits. I had a few more as I had already caught 22. I asked him if he would like to fish along with me. He said yes (retired Veteran), but paused, as he was moving slow, due to some recent surgery. No problem, I needed some help with catching fish. We caught and released 40 or so trout, in a very short time. I had a great time and meet a very nice person on the river! Thanks!

Taking a day off!
What a great thing to do, good on you! While I do fish alone on occasion, it is much more fun with someone else. I am sure that gentleman appreciated what you did.
If there were only more people in the world like you… That was a very nice gesture and isn’t something you hear about everyday! And nice report on the trout!
