If you can make it through this week...

…next week looks nice. Should be some schooling action once the surface cools down by the end of next week. Friends who live on the lake have already started seeing bait move into the coves in the afternoon, which means topwater action is just around the corner.

And thank god summer is over. I can’t wait for the water to be too cool for all tubers and jet skiers.

I have got to get this darn boat ready by next week. Yesterday evening it was a sunny blue bird sky so i went into the garage gathered a couple things and hit the open button button on the wall…as the door came up i could see the rain just starting to pour. Closed the door and went back inside to pout…i think my wife is starting to control the rain…

You know you could have spent the first rainy day clearing out space in your garage. then you could have worked through the rain inside.

when we fished friday we had a lot of bait in the lights. Tons of small threadfin with the big herring right under them. It was nice having my hydroglo back, it just didn’t feel right night fishing without it. I’ve spotted some balls of bait moving on the surface at lunch out from the dam launch parking lot. Won’t be long before the striper find them.

I love the rain, makes the fish stay up all day! A little wind also helps.
