That burns my a$$ as well. I have had to wait for an hour already waiting for a parking spot to open up while there was 10 cars taking up trailer spots. I don’t own the landing and I have no more of a right to the spot than anyone else, but they were designated for trailers.

If the parking spot is marked for trailors, call the cops. See if you can get them ticketed. Seems the least you can do, to thank them!
Everyone is in their own little world and is not conscious or thoughtful of the rest of the world. I get pissed when people do that at the landing and many other selfish yet similar actions of the human race in 2012. No bueno
A few years back I was at Folly and complained to the public safety guy on the scooter because it was almost impossible to get around in the lot because of all the cars not in parking spots and then the cars taking up boat trailer spots. He told me he was there to ticket all those cars. $50.00 a pop.

Twice we have gotten tickets at the ramp. Not for parking in a trailer spot though, both times the trailer spots were full with nontrailered cars. We had to park in a car spot, not a trailer spot. It sucks! All these were at folly at about 930

I think you are being unfair, it was a Jaquar after all.
There is something else that gets my goat about folly landing. About a month ago there was a group of paddle boarders (about 10) getting instructions at the far right ramp. Middle ramp was the parasail guy conducting some lengthy business. The far left ramp had some guy with his outboard torn apart trying to get it to start.
With no exaggeration there was 10-12 of us boaters doing our circles out in the river for 30 mins before I gave up and we went for a boat ride to return later. I think these businesses tying up public boat ramps is wrong. [End rant]

Unfortunately Matt no laws govern the paddleboarders at the boat ramp. Maybe a req for an extension of the boat ramp just for paddleboarders just for crowding. I know I make my way to the boat ramp every weekend I am on duty in ref to parking tickets. Just for information though that lot can only be enforced on weekends and holidays so Mon-Thurs, people can’t be ticketed for taking up boat spots. But in the same aspect you can’t park your boat trailer on the side of the road blocking the sidewalk if passenger cars are taking up the boat spots

Those guys can launch and trailer in 30 seconds as opposed to the 15 minutes that the weekend warriors take.

I was actually thinking of when they wash their oysters at the ramp, or crosbys boat is cleaning fish, etc. I try not to hurry at the ramp but be courteous to others as well. I know people want to get in and out quickly but 2 more minutes when things aren’t going right will not kill anyone but can surely tear up my 10k boat.
My little tantrum is more about using the landing to conduct a business. I don’t know, maybe they have permits and stuff. If they do, I apologize and will patiently wait next time the paddleboard class is in session at one landing and they are trying to find an oversize parasail for a 350lb guy at the other ramp.
