if you too happen to have a soft spot for skiffs

It looks like East Cape Skiffs is doing a “tour” of the southeast to get the word out on their boats, and maybe promote a new model. It’s kicking off here in Charleston this Saturday (7/21) at the Lowcountry Fly Shop (280 W Coleman Blvd, Mt P). They are bringing some boats with them. Their website doesn’t list times, but maybe one of you guys knows more about this??

They make sick boats, BUT at 35-40 grand for a flats boats it’s too rich for my blood! Plus I would hate for that $40,000 boat to get introduced to MR. Oyster rakes. Nice boats though even the used one’s are in the 25-30K price range.

Price range for used boats is anywhere from << 10K for the gladesman to < 40K for the current top of the line vantage. I picked up a really nice lostmen for around 20K last year. They are very well made boats and I have absolutely no complaints. I did have to drag my boat across my first oyster rake on Sunday

Did you buy your lostmen from a guide in SC? It had a redfish decal on it, I called about coming to look at it and he already so it. yeah if i was fishing solo all the time the gladesman would be perfect but i like some room for gear and the wife and dogs. The Fury is the ultimate boat for me get skinny and still handle the nasty stuff! Yeah makes you cringe when your expensive skiffs scrapes the oysters. My Dolphin Super skiff has met plenty of oyster bars, it comes with fishing in the lowcountry, if your not hitting oysters here your not in shallow waters.

I bought my boat from a guy down in Sarasota FL.

I love those Dolphin Super Skiffs, very classic. Fished out of one many times down in Florida.

I plan on living forever, so far so good
