I think the lid is one of the more important features,it has to be thick enough to support 2 300# guys sitting on it and insulation to keep out the South Carolina sunshine in the summer.
Do you like the rubber pulldown latches or a ss cam type latch?

but they don’t have a 48gt I need a good one for shrimping.
would buy a bigger one as well. Yeti too expebnsive as much as i’d like one.been trying to justify it for awhile.
Love to support local efforts so go for it.
quality for lower price is key ingredient.No skid bottom is must for me.

I would love a high end cooler but i have enough stress in my life without having to worry about someone steeeling a $300 cooler out of the truck the minute i turn around. He11 you may as well ride your shot guns on top of the tool box too. If mine blows out or someone steels it i just grab another igloo out of my cooler bone yard and rig up new hinges and handkles for it.

I think I’d like a cam latch better, one that is replaceable of something breaks it. The Yeti latch is probably a great latch, but I think it’s more of their gimmick than a necessary lid securing mechanism.
I also think the rubber latch would be more difficult for people with hand issues like arthritis or other problems more difficult to utilize. I know my mom could never latch or unlatch a yeti.
