Before I bought my sardine can, I was one of those who didn’t have a boat. Other than boaters messing up my bank fishing, I sure was glad to see some big boats out there, gave me hope that there was something better than sitting on the bank all day.

Waaaayyyy overpriced. I know the boat…it’s been fished hard, but taken good care of.
He’s been trying to sell it for 3-4 years.

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
I have not seen a forecast like that yet this yr…i need something that can fish on sat no matter the forecast
Exactly, that’s all I’m hoping to do is extend my window of opportunity to fish rather than waiting for the ideal conditions only to be beat up on either the ride out or the ride in.
If i could turn back time i would have a 28 ft True World Marine, with a bow thruster…i did a sea trial in NC back in late 08,all i can say is wow…yes the fuel burn was awesome…
But it will never happen for me…so i will use this Key West up till its a pile of fiberglass and aluminum dust…
Just found this. Looks interesting.

It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!
sounds crazy but if you keep it basic there really is no difference in maintanence between a 35 footer with inboards and a 55 footer. but what you can go out in makes a world of difference. if economy is a big issue you can have billy maxwell (B&B) build a single screw 55 footer. put one 3412 in her and she will easily cruise at 25 26 knots and burn 40- 45 gallons an hour. keep the interior very simply, 1 ac unit, ice maker, lowes appliances and you can build yourself a boat for just slightly north of the big CCs. it all comes down to displacement, the more displacement the better the ride and economy comes in from cutting the weight. billy can build a 55 footer and in weigh in in the low 30s. wadmacallit at 60’ with twins weighed in at 37,000. and thats why we cruise at 28 and only burn 45 gallons an hour. 4 to 5 foot head sea and you will be happy you went with a big boat.

Luhrs 320 tournanent. Beautiful boat and i love the lines. One’s docked next to my friends boat (family tradition) at Ripley Light, cant recall the name but she’s a beaut

Luhrs is a cheap boat. Try and find someone who has one and get the real scoop. They are cheap. Period.
Swordfishing in a pocket sporty is no good. Unless you get a flat bottom boat, and then nothing is good.
Albemarle is a great choice for SC waters. Gas money is dead on. Carolina Classic is a very similar boat, with some very key differences. More beam, more stable, slower, more fuel, more expensive, easier access to motors.
Get bigger motors than you think you need.
Single screw would be a great option, but there are basically no production boats available in this class.
Wolakrab - that isn’t my old boat if it has cats. We had 440 yanmars.
