For those of you that are still interested in this event, the 2014 IFA schedule has been posted. The Charleston event will be held on May 3rd. The second leg of the Atlantic division will be in Georgetown on August 16th. The Championship will be held in Houma, LA Oct 16-18. Hopefully, the new rules will make these events fair for everyone.
I am looking forward to fishing Georgetown…
Same here. Although I’d be tempted to fish Copahee for the Georgetown event.

Don’t do that, there are no fish in Copahee!!!
Annoy a Liberal, Work Hard and Be Happy!
Leave some margin of error in your drive time if you plan to fish very far from any weigh in… Otherwise the rest of us will laugh as you come sliding sideways into the parking lot 5 minutes late.
Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!
Copahee isn’t too far from Georgetown. Plus, to make it to the weigh in I’d have to have defied the odds and caught a fish. Like Dave said, There are never any fish at Copahee in the fall. And, if one did manage to make it in there. Justin would catch it first.
With the Savannah event moving to Georgetown, it might be a good idea to hold a meet & fish up that way toward the end of summer.
Dave and Carter each have a trained school of fish at Copahee. They whistle and the pet school shows up.

I’m happy they added boundaries to each division.
MooreFun Out!
I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you!
While it has been great that the IFA have defined the areas for the regions; they have not address the rules on fishing in the area of the host site.
You need to understand that the power boat portion of the IFA have to launch and return to the same location. Us as kayak anglers have a little movement. Where we can start fishing at any public launch site and return to the host site for weigh-in. We need to remember that the real issue was people fishing familiar waters and not being challenged by the host area.
For myself I will be fishing the Georgetown area for the spirit of the tournament. This will provide me with more fishing time and not more windshield time. Good luck to all that plan on doing the IFA.
