Ignition switch problem

My ignition switch is dead I think. The battery is good, trim works, accessories work - however the motor will not turn over. Wondering if anything else could be wrong other than this switch? Motor is a 2005 125 Merc 2s salt series, very low hours. I see fuses under the cowling, wondering if they are connected to the issue? Jusy looking for input before diving into it. Thanks in advance for any help!

Check the starter solenoid.

If you find power coming to the front side actuator connector of the solenoid, then try to jump the main power cable mount fastener to the ‘back-side’ cable mount, which should force the starter into action.
If the sterter works when the solenoid is jumped, its prolly a bad solenoid.
If you get no power to the actuator, the switch or a broken wire can usually be found/blamed.

Also, just a check, be sure the gear-shift is clearly in neutral position.
