Dear boaters enjoying the Congaree River striper run. When releasing undersized fish, That doesn’t mean throw them in the bottom of your boat and leave them there, then wait for your buddy to reel in his undersized fish and then both of you pose for selfies with the (not even impressive size) fish AND THEN throw them back in the water like youre throwing a Hail Mary pass in the fourth quarter. Yes, I saw you on Tuesday doing this repeatedly. Maybe for a lot of you guys the spring run is a once a year fishing event and you don’t actually give a **** about the fish. I live and work and breathe right here, if you can’t gently put your undersized fish back, run water through their gills and handle them like the future of our fishery, then stay the hell away from Gervais St. Bridge and the Congaree/Saluda in general. next time I see you throwing stripers in the water like your spiking a football, Ima throw a big ass rock and I hope it knocks you out.
RB i’m with you 100%!!!
AMEN!!!
In the future, where every stranger poses a potential threat, knowing the predator mindset is the only safe haven.

On a lighter note, How’s the bight? I haven’t gotten out yet, and good ones being caught?
Can I borrow your towel? My car just hit a water buffalo.
kinda lackluster so far, a few decent here and there, lots of smalls
No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.
