Imelda-to-be

uncommon model agreement since yesterday. getting generator fuel on my way home before the media coverage starts… been a while since we had a good tree shaker, especially if a bunch of rain softens things up first

Thanks Barb
Where were you in 89 ?

Yeah…we’ll see.

S, we lived on James Island and my parents are from NE and WY so they’d never seen one before. we “evacuated” to summerville, and the eye passed right over us. after we went outside in the eye and heard the back wall coming at us like a train, i watched a pine tree come through the living room ceiling and stop a few feet from my mom’s head, so we spent the rest of the night in the hallway.

came back the next day, had to walk from windermere over the wappoo bridge because the police wouldn’t allow cars on and off for concern about looters. far less damage to our house than the one we rode the storm out in.

water was out for 10+ days and power for 13 or 14 IIRC… when the chainsaws stopped, the grills fired up, then the generators came on for the night. rinse and repeat!

Looks to be tracking more north and east, as of now?
