Was out today running about 30mph when all of a sudden the motor
slowed down. Shut it down an looked at prop nothing to see was wrong
Fired it up an got rpm but little foward or reverse speed.

Hub slipping in prop most likely. Try another prop before you take it to a shop.

Yep, sounds like a spun hub on the prop to me.

Spun prop. Take it off and look at the hub. Look to see if the rubber is burned or missing. If so take it to Mike at Skips.

If it is spun take it up to Skip’s Propeller in N chas.
Won’t always work, but put the engine in gear (not running of course) and press your foot on the prop. If you can turn the propeller and the engine doesn’t turn, you no doubt have a hub slipping.

It was a spun hub at shop now.
Hope to be back on water by weekend.
Buy a cheap aluminum prop and carry it as a spare! As you know they are pretty easy to change.
