I know there’s been many posts on these areas but I’m hoping to get some specifics. A college buddy who lives in central NC and I are trying to plan a kayak/camp trip, maybe around march. I paddle an x-factor 14.5 and he has something in the 12.5 foot range. Would either of these two spots be good around that time? I like to throw the fly and conventional stuff.
Pamlico sound is also an option, and we could certainly push it off a month or two if we needed to. So, I guess the question is, where should we go within about a 6-8 hour drive that would be a little different (saltwater)? I’ve been fishing Charleston by kayak for about 6 years and need to get out of my comfort zone. I’m a fisheries biologist by trade and my new years resolution is to meet up and fish with some of you, as it seems to be a good group.
