I have a 19 month old lil’ girl that will have her first boat ride in a month or so. I’ve looked around, both locally and through catalogs, but was wondering if anyone had some good experiences with a certain brand or location. She’s under 30#, too. Thanks for the recomendations.

I have a dora life jacket from Walley world for my daughter. She is about the same age, and it fits her good. I had one of the actual infant life jackets, but it was too small for her and she hated it. The Dora one fits well/secure, and keeps her floating/comfy when she is in the water.

Stohlquist makes a great infant and child PFD called the Nemo. Great fit, allows for a lot of movement, as well as a lot of air circulation so they don’t get too hot.

I can’t believe you waited this long! Ashlynn was born in December and on the water the next year early spring.
I/she didn’t like the “infant” PFDs either. Ashlynn wore a barbie PFD one from Wally World. I think it did have a strap that ran through her legs to help support her. I think she was comfortable in it…

My daughters had Stearns infant PFDs. They got kinda warm, but they worked well. The also had a cool handle on the collar that you could pick them up by like a sack of groceries and pass them into and out of the boat.
