can anyone tell me if this is a good landing to use.

It’s a medium size 2 lane, one dock ramp. Some might argue but it is a safe ramp launched there more times than I can count, 0 issues. It fills up kinda quick on Saturday mornings though, and can be rough if wind us rolling.
thanks for information
just to add on to what yakman said, it’s a safe ramp but if you’re new to boating and don’t have a good routine for getting your boat in and out then you may want to go to a larger ramp. also, Saturday mornings it’s easy to get in before the crowd but hard to get back. just 2 or 3 idiots make it feel like a dozen idiots clogging up the ramp. otherwise, if you have a good system and more then one person on a weekend trip then you’re good to go.
meanwhile, watch out for posting non-reports in the report section on here. the posting police might get upset good luck and have fun out there!
It’s gotten better over the years, but I still wouldn’t leave a vehicle there after the sun goes down.
Put in at Bowen’s Island instead. $2 launch fee, nice area. A bit congested when they are doing a lot of kayak tours but they are cool about making room for you.
Moral judgment under girds the entire structure of laws and is necessary for the rational structure of any significant statute. The idea that our laws can stand independent of moral foundation is senseless.----- Albert Mohler.
If you put in at Sol Lagare, be aware of the sand bar. Out of landing to the left, about 1/2 mile in the middle of the river, there is a large sand bar. I know because i gig it at night on mid tide.
I’ve never left a vehicle overnight, that feels kinda sketchy. If I’m planning an overnighter in that area is leave my truck at folly or wappoo cut. And the whole sandbar thing goes without saying, stay in the channel and your fine
there’s little to no dock space to tie your boat up @ low tide so it’s helpful to have a friend that can handle your boat or your trailer
like yak & 23 said, don’t leave any valuables in your vehicle unless you want them donated to the natives
When busy there, little room to dock next to first ramp; don’t tie up on upstream side; boats will buzz around stirring up a nice chop while awaiting their buddy trying to back down a trailer. Busy summer days- I only go there when traffic to Folly Ramp backed up to nearly the Pig.
Not to hijack this thread but you mentioned the Folly ramp backing up. I live about 2 miles from there but I never use it cause I figure it is always full by the time i get out Sat, which is usually around 10. When does it usually fill up on a normal summer Sat?

Rob- 8 or 9, 10 at very latest depending on weather. If you live on folly, and wanna go after 10 launch the boat, and wait while circling in the river for your wife or fishin buddy to drive the truck home and ride a boke or golfcart back… if that’s an option… if not get out earlier or your SOL
