Article online yesterday, maybe yahoo, or maybe newsless courier…
says they are nothing more than upright ovens. No oil, no crispy skin.
they are convenient that they can be placed outdoors and no heat in house. Article pointed out that all elements as in ovens are infra-red. Its just a buzzword that makes it sound fancy.
Article said nothing but dust collector for 12 months a year, save yo money.
Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good… but I wanna see it.

I would have to disagree. We fryed a turkey in the infrared fryer last year, and I have never had an oven turkey that had crispy skin like this had. I thought the flavor was much better in the infrared fryer.
Thanks for the input…hope more folks chime in on this.
HAPPY T-GIVING!

We’ve got a group of friends that we get together with and one of our favorite meals is fried turkeys. I always inject with Creole Butter with a dab of Texas Pete mixed in and the outside covered with Tony’s cajun seasoning. Always turn out great. One of the friends recently bought the oiless cooker and we have done 2 or 3 side by side comparisons. Everyone, including the not so proud owner of the oiless agrees the fried birds are MUCH better. We even tried a ham in the thing and it came out black and hard as a rock. My personal favorite is my Masterbuilt electric deep frier. It does a heck of a job on wings and also a lowcountry boil and with the spicket in the tub it makes cleanup a little easier.
We got one last Christmas and have done one chicken in it. It was good, but for some reason we have never used it since. No way did it compare to a fried chicken, better than oven roasted, but not as good as a bear butt on the grill. My .02
Stickin with oil…Thanks all.
