Injector Problems - Any Suggestions?

I have twin 1999 175 hp Evinrude Fichts (I know, I know) on a 2450 Hydra-Sports. Overall they are o.k., but my port motor has a problem with the #4 injector. When I bought it a few years ago, I had to replace the injector. That same injector then started blowing fuses. I replaced the 10a fuse with a 15a and have not blown one since (I know you aren’t supposed to do this, but have had no problems resulting from the larger fuse). Since replacing the injector the first time, I had to replace it (under waranty) a year later, and now this year it’s acting up again.

Currently, the motor cuts back for the first few minutes that it runs, but after it warms up, it runs perfectly the rest of the day with 0 problems.

Both motors have been regularly serviced and have had the updates. When my mechanic loooked at it this year, he said the injector was not getting a signal to it. They unhooked it wiggled some wires, etc., hooked it back up, and it was fine. Couldn’t get it to misfire again.

My question is: what would cause the same injector to fail repeatedly, and blow fuses? Wiring? Computer? Any suggestions are appreciated
