Headed up to Stone Mountain, NC in the morning for some brooks and bows. I’ve heard that water is low so, I’ll be using the 6 ft 3wt and trying to sneak up on 'em.
I’ll report out tomorrow.

Had a nice day up at Stone Mountain. Fishing felt a lot more like January than the day after Thanksgiving. Water was in the low 30’s; very low and VERY CLEAR.
Fish were piled up like firewood in deep holes. not a single fish in a riffle or run.
Caught 7, missed a buch. Nice trout slam of 3 brooks 2 Bows and 2 browns.
Largest fish was a little over 14" but skinny as a snake.
Each pool produced a fish, but no pool would produce 2 fish.
Tight loops and good times:smiley:
BTW if the state park is representative of the rest of the area, our wildlife is doing fine. Saw a nice ■■■■■ of turkeys… all hens… about a dozen and about 50 deer.
It’s creepy to be knee deep in a trout stream and look up to see 3 deer staring at you.
