Every now and again, I get to just go and visit some spots that I don’t get to go to much and explore. Just put the trolling motor down and go. I had a long time client and friend on the boat and he was up for the challenge and gave the green light to just explore. What a great day on the water it was. Focusing on wind blown areas of flats with incoming tide. The water getting pushed into the grass and oysters along with bait made for a great opportunity to roll spinner baits and work some pearl PaddlerZ. Just straight up power fishing. Working a large area, we picked up numerous fish (reds and flounder mostly). No large fish, but man was it fun to just fish. No planned spot, just getting out there in the element and exploring. Oh yeah, and he even let the Captain fish.
